Travelling Abroad

Government policy which is based on official public health advice from NPHET continues to advise against non-essential travel overseas for everyoneAs Covid-19 cases have risen significantly over the past few weeks in Ireland we would like to remind any parent/guardian intending to travel abroad to a country not currently on the Government’s “Green List” to act responsibly on their return to Ireland and to comply fully with Public Health Advice to restrict their movements (staying indoors in one location and avoiding contact with all other people and social situations as much as possible) to limit the potential of importing Covid-19 into their households and infecting other family members in particular children attending Bunscoil Lughaidh Naofa.  School Management has a duty of care to all members of staff and pupils during these unprecedented times to prevent in so far as is possible cases of Covid-19 being spread within our school community and may deem it necessary for  children from households where a parent/guardian has travelled abroad to restrict their attendance at school for a period of 14 days.
